ARTiculation is “an autopsy of life, love, youth, religion and art” using spoken word poetry, theatre and a hard hitting beat. ARTiculation made its Boston debut on January 24th of 2009 to rave reviews. The Boston Globe, Metro, and Herald all say that ARTiculation is the show to see. ARTiculation was conceived by Tory Bullock and written by the poets themselves. ARTiculations focus is to create meaningful performances that inspire young and old alike to create meaningful work on their own. Poetry and Performance are fused like never before to facilitate a clear communication of Race, Gender, Religion, and a flurry of other topics to create an educational and moving performance.

The winner of the slam will be crowned Lizard King or Queen. That poet will hold the crown and will be challenged by qualifying poets for the semi-finals of our slam team. The Royal Poet will represent the Lizard Lounge in the 2010 Individual World Poetry Slam ----------- The Duppy Conquerors consist of some of Boston’s best Reggae musicians. Collectively they have performed or shared the stage with; The Wailers, Ziggy Marley, The Skatalites, Jackie Mittoo, U-Roy, Black Uhuru, Mikey Dread, Sugar Minott, Sly & Robbie, Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, Yellowman, Steel Pulse, Toots & The Maytals, Roland Alphonso, Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace, Lloyd Knibb, Laurel Aitken, Lord Tanamo, Gil Scott Heron, Olatunji, Richie Havens, and many more!
