YahZarah is a DC native, an alumni of the famed Duke Ellington School of The Arts, former featured background singer and arranger for Erykah Badu, and currently lead vocalist for hip hop group The Foreign Exchange.YahZarah has performed alongside the Roots, Musiq Soul Child, Goaple, Bilal Oliver, Rahsan Paterson, and a host of others.She is a solo sensation often referred to as a dynamo of vocal power.  The Seattle-based songstress, Choklate, who writes her own music, has already taken the breath away from many listeners around the world and she’s back with her 2009 release "To Whom It May Concern." Choklate infuses her sultry alto voice with hard, progressive beats and very real lyrics—sparking many different kinds of emotions. Teodross Avery has performed and/or recorded with Amy Winehouse, Leela James, Roy Ayers, Mos Def, Lauryn Hill, Shakira, Matchbox Twenty, Joss Stone, Talib Kweli, Roy Hargrove, Pat Monehan (of Train) and many others. His commanding stage presence reflects his musical ingenuity and skill.
