The Ashley Brook raises money for Christies Hospital as managers, Mark and Janet McElroy have organised an event at the pub on Saturday, 28th November with the hope that the people of Salford will come along in support to raise money for this worthy cause in its heartland. Ex Joy Division and New Order bassist, Peter Hook, will be making an appearance at the event. Peter, who was born in Salford is keen to come back to his roots to support The Christie and will be DJ-ing at The Ashley Brook on the night along with another guest DJ. Peter has just released a new book entitled “The Haçienda - How Not To Run a Club” and will be signing copies on the night.
