Astral’s exceptional artists – violinist Korbinian Altenberger, cellist Susan Babini, clarinetist Igor Begelman, and pianist Michael Mizrahi – perform some of the repertoire’s greatest piano trios, spanning from Haydn’s No. 9 to Aaron Jay Kernis’s Trio in Red for Cello, Clarinet, and Piano.

FLUTIST JASMINE CHOI – IN RECITAL: Gramophone Korea praises flutist Jasmine Choi’s “perfect technique and astounding musicianship,” and on March 7 Astral Artists, one of the nation’s premier organizations for the career development of emerging classical musicians, presents the “major talent” (The Philadelphia Inquirer) in recital. Choi and pianist William Hong-Chun Youn touch all bases in a program spanning from Bach to a world première by young Korean composer Solbong Kim. Also featured is a transcription of Franck’s beguiling Sonata for Violin and Piano in A Major.
