December, 13 2009 03:00 PM - Devonstock w/ The Checks, The Naked and Famous & more
, Mt Victoria - Devonport, 187 - Free!

Takapuna Grammar student Sam Harper is organizing a second youth concert on top of Mount Victoria on Sunday 13 December, from 3 – 6:30 pm. Sam has given the concert his particular brand: Devonstock, a term adapted from the 1969 music festival at Woodstock. Last year’s concert was a huge success with over 2000 people of all ages listening to high caliber local music on sunny day. Five sensational local rock bands will play on top of the volcano cone this year: The Naked and Famous, The Checks with Special Guest, Clap Clap Riot, Forbidden Joe, Eastern Flowers. They will be surrounded by a spectacular 360 degree view from the top of the mount. The concert is a non-alcohol youth and family event, entry is free, and there is no parking on the mountain. No parking on the mountain, so please walk, bike or park your vehicle in the Devonport village.
