A superb new trio blending the talents of Nancy Kerr & James Fagan (recepients of two BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards including "Best Duo") with the masterful skills of folk superstar Robert Harbron! Nancy & James have a deserved reputation as one of the hottest acts around on the UK folk scene, a status built up over 10 years of constant gigging and recording - dynamic, engaging, entertaining and full of energy, in addition to being superb vocalists, Nancy’s super-charged, melodic fiddle playing is a perfect musical match for James’ strident-yet-subtle guitar-bouzouki. In 2008, Nancy & James teamed up with superb multi-instrumentalist Robert Harbron to add a new dimension to their sound - having worked with many of the folk scene’s finest, including Tim Van Eyken, Dr Faustus and The English Acoustic Collective, Robert’s concertina and guitar work is loved and admired by folk fans the world over, and when the newly-formed trio released their debut CD, "Station House", it received rave reviews. Stylistically, the trio blend the best elements of the traditional and contemporary folk scene from the UK, Ireland, Australia and America, and make a sound that no one who loves good music will want to miss!

Our annual Christmas celebration, this has always been a very special and popular evening each year and so we hope that this trend will continue! We had a brilliant Christmas Party night last year, and this year promises more of the same, with floorsingers and musicians all welcome, a huge buffet supplied, a bumper raffle, and closing with our special Christmas Song & Carol Session where everybody is welcome to join in and sing or play along, either from the floor or on stage. Please note that, due to the popularity of previous year’s parties, our plan at the moment is to kick off the evening at 8:00pm sharp. Whether you’re a singer, musician, or if you just want to come along and join in the festivities, a very warm welcome is guaranteed - please come along and help us celebrate this special occasion!

This band were the very first guests we ran after taking over the club, and have kicked off many a year for us ever since! Featuring amongst their number legendary Sussex showman Rick Willings, guitarist Peter English (both best-known for their work with bands Taxi Home and Big Yellow Taxi), Mal Simms (musical lynchpin for bands Legacy and Triskel), and superb multi-instrumentalist Steve "Tune Master" Lane, this band make a sound like no other! Another appearance from this stunning bluegrass band! Formed in 1973, the band have a long and exciting CV working both in the UK and abroad, even journeying to the US in the late 1970s where they had the privilege of sharing a stage with the "father of bluegrass", legendary mandolin player Bill Monroe! Featuring guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle and double bass, complete with stunning trademark vocal harmonies, the band have spent a collective lifetime bringing bluegrass to new audiences by way of their highly entertaining and accessible live act. Their repertoire consists of many old favourites and classics from both the bluegrass and folk idioms, and promises a unique evening to remember for years to come!

A sublime duo on tour from Canada! Norah is best-known to UK audiences as lead singer with the band The Outside Track, and was a recent finalist for Traditional Singer of the Year in her native Canada. Brian is a highly respected musician both in Ireland and the US. Showcasing a mixture of songs both traditional and contemporary from both sides of the Atlantic (showing off Norah’s gorgeous vocals) with instrumentals from the Celtic tradition played on guitar, whistles and flute, it’s not surprising that these two are in demand from acoustic music fans all over the world!
