These shows are part of a fundraising plan to help raise money for a volunteer trip i’m taking to Malaysian Borneo next year to work in an Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, and i also want use the small voice i have to help raise awareness for the cause. the trip i’m doing is here: http://www.orangutanproject.com/content.php?p=303&Prod=6product and it costs around $3000 for one month - almost all of which goes straight into the conservation project to help them keep doing what they do, and local communities in Borneo that need employment. The Centre i’ll be working in is a small one that rehabilitates Orangutans that have been hurt or orphaned for eventual release back into the wild. Orangutans are in serious danger of becoming extinct as their natural habitat is being destroyed by us humans - mainly for palm oil - and they get hunted by locals, mainly for selling in the illegal pet trade which also results in alot of injury and death. I Love Love Love these creatures and feel a really strong need to volunteer my time over there and to be part of the solution to fix these problems and to help make sure the Orangutan has a future here on Earth Soooo i’m gathering a bunch of friends to come and play and be part of this special month-long fundraiser to help raise money for the project and for me to get over there and do what i can to help make a difference.
