November, 29 2009 08:00 AM - Texas Renaissance Festival
21778 FM 1774, Plantersville, Texas 77363 -

We’re coming baaack agaaaain! The Bilge Pumps continue to do the (sort of) right things in the festival’s eyes as we keep getting invited back. har har. We’ll be back for the full eight weekends of the festival, which does include the Friday after Thanksgiving on the last weekend of the festival. We look forward to making another whole bunch of trips south to cause havok in King Henry’s house where we can accost the French women that live near our stage, steal kettle corn from the booth across the path, and generally annoy all the other acts within earshot. You know... pirate stuff.

December, 5 2009 10:00 AM - Dickens on the Strand
The Strand, Galveston, Texas 77550 -

Galveston Island keeps on recovering from the ravages of hurricane Ike and the Bilge Pumps will be heading down there this year to do what we can to retard their progress. We’re back for our favorite Christmas festival as we rob Jacob Marley, give Scrooge a kick in his ships bells, and scare the sheet out of the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future. This year, the festival will hopefully be back to full size and strength as shops continue to re-open around the Strand, power gets more stable, and hotels re-open. We hope to see you all there to support the city and your favorite pirates. That’s us, BTW.

December, 12 2009 10:00 AM - Louisiana Renaissance Festival
46468 River Road, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 -

Just when them Acadians thought they had gotten rid of us... we come a storming back! That’s right! The Bilge Pumps will be returning to one of our original festivals as we make a trip south across the Atchafalaya swamp in our gator-bait dinghies and raid the land of gumbeaux. We’ll be there for the final weekend of the festival (just the thing to send you into the holidays with a sour stomach) and will spend time re-introducing ourselves to the local fauna who will have totally forgotten who we are. Be sure you’re there to help us celebrate our cajun roots.

March, 26 2010 10:00 AM - University of Oklahoma Medieval Fair
2501 S. Jenkins Avenue, Norman, Oklahoma 73072 - Free

The sooner nation’s a calling and they demand piracy in their lives and who are we to refuse? I can tell you this, we’re pirates and we’ll supply you with a ton of crimson (blood) and a little bit of cream (don’t ask), so we should fit the criteria. Details are in short supply this early on, but you can probably bet we’ll be back on the Camelot (chessboard) stage cranking out 3-4 shows/day with our lovely Pirate Goods and Bait Shop set up behind the stage. Since last year’s t-shirt blackout went over so well, we’re going to be building upon it this time, encouraging everyone to put on your Bilge Pumps T-Shirts and come and watch a specific Saturday afternoon show. (More details will come when showtimes are available) After the show is over, we’ll gather up everyone who’s wearing a Bilge Pumps T-Shirt and take pictures with them and the band together and put the pics up in hi-res on the website so you can download them and print them off for Easter cards. What’s that you say? You don’t have a Bilge Pumps T-Shirt? Well, get over to our Treasure Island page and get one, ya slacker! The festival has moved its date up a weekend to the last weekend in March so they don’t conflict with Easter weekend, so make sure you’re ready because Oklahoma weather in March could bring anything... come to think of it, it’s that way in April, too.
