Aardvark’s 37th annual Christmas benefit concert, a Boston holiday tradition, will feature updated arrangements of carols and music in the spirit of the season by founder/director Mark Harvey. Proceeds will benefit the Mass Council of Churches and the Poor Peoples United Fund. Selections will include the German classic Silent Night decked out in Gospel/blues style, the traditional English carol What Child Is This arranged in a Coltranesque approach, and Mark Harvey’s Benedictus, a perennial favorite, set to powerful Afro-jazz rhythms. 617-452-3205 or 617-776-8778
