GO LIGHT THE WORLD! Minnesota’s Quest for the Voice Poets Speak Out on Urban Youth, Experience, Celebrate Trip to National Competition in WASHINGTON D.C. For a group of Minnesota teens, poetry serves as an essential form of expression. WHEN: 6PM on June 19th WHERE: First Universalist Church, mpls WHO: Quest Youth Poets and more WHY: Honoring Youth in our Community WHAT: A Spirit Filled Evening of Poetry, Song, Music and Testimony The Quest for the Voice Poets, an amazing group of multi-cultural writers and performers from urban Minnesota high schools, give voice to an art form that honors and brings forward stories, experiences, dreams, convictions and perspectives often silenced by the dominant culture. A free-will offering to support the poets’ trip to Washington D.C. will be accepted.
